Rapper Heavy D Dead at 44 - Rapper Heavy D has died after being taken to hospital in Los Angeles. He was 44 years old. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Heavy D returned from the mall around 11:30 am and was climbing a set of stairs at the condo when he was having trouble breathing, according to the staff in the building in Beverly Hills.

The staff tried to help him to his home, but he fainted. When police arrived, they found him conscious but still having trouble breathing. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center around noon, where he was pronounced dead.
